the advantages of hybrid cars are that they don't use much fuel but this is because they have very small engines and are very aerodynamic, there are lots of disadvantages but the biggest one is that they cost a lot to buy and repair and the batteries don't last that long. probably the best hybrid to get would be the new generation Prius because toyta has probably but the most research into its hybrid cars. If you were looking to buy a car with low emissions you would probably be better off buying a smart fortwo.

Prius $25 to drive 600 miles
Normal car $50 to drive 300 miles
Basically, go twice as far for half the money!

im lightweight confused… everyone is talking numbers and abbreviations. I’m only a kid and wanted this car when i turned 18, but he says the making of it is bad for the economy? But does the saving of burning gas and the running off solar power make up for it?

Don’t even believe him. Even if you’re a kid, you deserve to know the truth, and the myth about the pollution that the Prius emits in order to be manufactured is a lie. That was refuted many years ago, though people even nowadays are trying to say otherwise.
If you want to know more, google Prius myth and you will know the truth. Look at ripper3200’s comment below too, to see the carbon footprint by the Prius and other cars to see just how much carbon it emits compared to others.

Hybrid actually do more harm to the environment over all than helps the environment.Buying a BMW M3 would be better.

Volt is DOOMED to fail. Will cost twice as much as a Prius!! Plus you have to plug the car in every night.What a nuisance!! Prius wins hands down.Amen.

You’re not worth the reply but I’ll give it a try.
I did the test with a friend who drives a Prius, we drove from Ingolstadt to Brussels, my Audi did it with one tank, he had to refuel with his Prius.
And I arrived almost one hour earlier cause he drove economic and I blasted my way over the autobahn.
Believe whatever you want kid, I got proof, so I don’t need your childish comments.
